Look and Discover Islam
Week beginning Monday 25th April - This week, we have been learning all about the Islam faith.
Look and Discover Judaism
This week, Class 2 have looked and discovered Judaism. This included looking at Jewish artefacts, learning all about Shabbat, what it is and what it means and then we discovered how to make Challah bread, a bread that Jewish people have on Shabbat. We learnt lots and enjoyed making and tasting the bread as a class. To respect the Jewish faith, we looked at the Havdalah candle. We had a great week learning about the Jewish faith. Miss Duong
Hinduism Week
This week we have been looking, discovering and respecting Hinduism. We have looked at what a home shrine is, what a puja tray us and what items we may out in it, learnt about the Festival of Light, listened to Indian music and today we made our own puja trays too. We enjoyed Hinduism week and learnt lots. Great work and learning Year 2, Miss Duong.
30.1.20 Year 6 Come and See work
Today, we read our work to Year 2, how to live like Jesus in our world and gave reasons for this. All of the children listened well and all of the Year 6 children have worked hard. Brilliant Come and See work Year 6. A proud Mrs Simpson.

Class Reception Our Journey with God 2019
We enjoyed our last Retreat with Joe and Brodie this year. We learnt about our journey with God and the items we would need. We had a great afternoon. Thank you Joe and Brodie. Miss Duong.
The Pentecost 2019
We learnt lots about the Pentecost story and the Holy Spirit. We spread the news by making Pentecost banners using the colours of flames and then spread the good news and celebrated Jesus going back to His Father in heaven and keeping His promise to send His special friend. Miss Duong.
Class Reception Station of the Cross 2019
We learnt about growing to love Jesus more during Lent and why. We talked about Jesus dying on Good Friday and why, and coming back to life on Easter Sunday. We thought about what this meant. Class Reception’s Station of the Cross was Jesus coming back to life. Father Paul took this to church so that it could be displayed on Easter Sunday. Miss Duong.
The Easter Story
We role-played parts of the Easter Story, showing what happened to Jesus after the 40 days and 40 nights in the desert. Well done children, Miss Duong.
Class Reception - Growing during Lent
During our Come and See lessons, we have been learning to love Jesus more during Lent and how to act and behave more like Jesus; to love one another how we want to be loved, respect others, share and care with one another and love your enemies. We have also planted seeds and will help them to grow by loving them, along with our baby chicks. We know that a Jesus died for us because He loves us. Miss Duong.

Gathering in Class Reception
The children did a great job on Thursday afternoon during our Come and See circle time. They thought of their own ideas of how we can all gather and as we heard each idea, we acted out each one. There was no input or help from Mrs Knight or myself so we are both super proud of the children. Well done, you’re amazing! Miss Duong.
